5 Tips for Goal Setting in 2021!

It is January 4th and it's time to get those 2021 goals ready to go!

It is game time!

Here are my top 5 tips for turning your dreams into reality!

1. Turn your dreams into goals.

Dreams are great but they don’t get you anywhere. The best way to turn your dreams into goals is to make them into something specific and quantitative. For example, let’s say your dream for 2021 is to “have a successful business”. Ask yourself to define “successful” - perhaps you say would like to serve 10 clients and make $3,000 per month. That is much easier to obtain since it is specific. So, your dream would turn into “By the end of 2021, I want to have 10 clients and make $3,000 dollars.”

Now, take your dream and make it specific and quantitative.

2. Prioritize

Now, many people have many ideas but don't prioritize so they never know what to focus on. Make sure you are clear with yourself about what is important to YOU. Make sure that you are prioritizing based on your needs and wants not someone else’s!

3. Focus on habits

Focus on daily or weekly habits that will you get you closer to your goal. For example, if you are focusing on your business perhaps you have a weekly check-in for your finances. You create other smaller goals to help you get more clients, etc. Make a routine out of your goal so you are always coming back to it.

4. Schedule it out!

Get really practical. Schedule out your habits and goals into your calendar [paper or digital - it doesn’t matter]. Make smaller incremental goals through the year so you know if you are on target. The more you put it into your daily and weekly life the more likely you are for success.

5. Get support

You are not alone! One of the biggest mistakes people make is to try and do it alone! I recommend you get a buddy to help you stay accountable. You can help each other out to achieve your goals. If you want even more in-depth accountability you can also join my Homebase: A Community for Goal Setters to help you stay on track. This will be the ultimate factor in your success!

Have an amazing 2021!

Xoxo,

Morgan
