Two Life Lessons I Learned at Matriarch Rising
When you are surrounded by women who are all sovereign over their own lives and bodies, you learn A LOT. I got so many incredible transmissions during my time at Matriarch Rising Festival but I wanted to share the 2 that have impacted my life the most.
I don't have to isolate myself
After Sister Morningstar and Jessica Whapio performed a conscious conception ceremony, I got very sad. All of a sudden, I felt all this grief for my nephew Charlie. It was all boiling to the service. My first instinct was to isolate. Go to my tent and cry.
But isolation is terrible for us and the human body, it causes conflict and pain. I didn't want to be alone but my instinct said to go away. My main thought was “People didn’t want to be bothered with my sadness.” But instead of leaving, I went over to a friend and asked for a hug. Of course, she gave me one and I sobbed in her arms and 2 other women came over as well and I was being hugged by a whole tribe of women.
Grief came out that I hadn’t realized was there. It had to come out and because they held space for me, I was able to let it go without staying in my head.
It taught me to stop turning inward and isolating, but rather seek community when I need it most.
2. I no longer strive to be perfect but to be a WILD WOMAN
There aren’t very many wild women walking the earth, most of us are tamed within an inch of our life. We tame ourselves by shaving, masking our faces, and always being the “good girl” but what a lot of crap.
Perfect doesn’t create a business.
Perfect isn’t happy.
Perfect isn’t orgasmic.
Perfect doesn’t really have fun.
Perfect isn’t wildly beautiful.
Perfect or “good girl” persona is no longer my mode of operation. I burned her and she is gone.
I wanted to share this because I know there is so many women who struggle with isolating and the “good girl” persona. These 2 issues have such a strong hold over us, but together we can end that paradigm.
There are women around you that actually wants to help you, by giving you a hug, confort words, helping you to achieve your goals, celebrate your success, exchanging knowledge, services and so much more. All of that can help you heal and connect to yourself and others. Proximity is power!
Recently, In the first episode of Monday Talks with Morgan I talked about having issues while connecting with other women and how we should’nt give this the power to tear us apart. Believe me, you don’t have to do It all alone and you are not alone. We are stronger together!
And that’s exactly what I wanted for The Sanctuary, for It to be a safe space to commune with other women who support each other in creating sovereign businesses and creating independent balanced lives.
Let’s help each other and thrive together! Living in our best and WILD selves!
